Here's what I read for the month.
Fortunately for me, both the books I read were enjoyable. Nothing to blow my mind but enjoyable.
Mia's Wedding was highly anticipated since I wanted to know how Mia was getting on with building her little harem. There were some things what didn't quite work for me but I loved the wedding itself. That was the highlight of the story for me.
As for Seven Brothers and a Virgin, well, that's a lot of brothers, isn't it? This story surprised me. I expected it to be one thing and it didn't turn out like that ... in a good way. I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. What saved this story was that each brother got a few chapters of page time and that gave a deep enough look into each character to satisfy me.
I was going to add a third book to this list which I think I'll read by the end of the month but I didn't want to jinx it. I'm honestly not sure if I'll get to it even though I've promised the author I would. But time is a rather precious commoditiy I don't have right now.
That's it from me. What did you read for this last month? Do leave a comment and let me know.
And stay tuned for Helen's reading list for the month too.

I am not so sure about being back to reading normally soon. This project runs till January and I'm swamped with work.
DeleteAnother short month. Still on holiday for part of it, so takes a while to get back into reading!
ReplyDeleteFast Vengeance by Kaylea Cross. An excellent finale to the FAST team novels. They really go through the wringer
The Henchmen of Zenda by KJ Charles. A gay reimagining of the Prisoner of Zenda
Shelter in Place by Nora Roberts. Nora's usual high standard
Dark Fire by Cynthia Sax. Another great sci-fi from Cynthia
Guardian Spirits by Jordan L Hawk. Love everything by them
No Limit (Drift5) by Susan Hayes
Cold Blooded (Cold Justice 6) by Toni Anderson. Great procedural
Edge of Defiance by Trish Loye. Another great procedural
Leaning into Forever by Lane Hayes. Geordies story
I haven't read Kaylea Cross but she's on my list to read. Love Toni Anderson. Her stories are very good. Have you read Elaine Levine or Maddie Wade. They are good if you enjoy romantic suspense.
DeleteI've had months like that. Hopefully things get less stressful and you have time to read more.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure to be honest. It's crazy busy so I'm not hopeful. I apologise for not visiting your blog as much too.
