2022 Recap: Helen's Top 10 reads

Helen's 2022 top 10

Is Thursday the new Wednesday now? Maybe? The last few posts have landed on a Thursday and it seems like Wednesday evening tends to be the day when I can sit down and put a blog post together. Maybe I'll get back to Wednesdays at some point when I continue to try to get my life back on track. 😊

What Helen Read #77: November 2022

Do you know what it is? It's too close to Christmas, that's what it is. And why do I have so much work left to do and so many deadlines? It's almost 7pm on Tuesday evening now as I'm putting this together, and I'd really like to be lying in bed reading. I haven't been sleeping well and I'm feeling extra tired today. But aside from me moaning about how fast the year is coming to an end... books!

Here's what Helen read for November.

What Helen Read #76: September & October 2022

Greetings! It's late Tuesday evening and I'm kinda hustling to get this post out. I remembered late that I needed to do this and I didn't want to leave it till tomorrow this time. Plus, I owe it to Helen to at least be on time, since I missed posting this last month for her. I'm almost back to normal with adjusting to being home and getting back into the swing of things. Work is picking up and getting busier, but that's a good thing. Hope everyone had a good month in October and enjoying November. Where has the year gone? Before we know it, it will be Christmas.

What Helen Read #75: August 2022

Greetings from a chilly Minnesota. I'm pretty last minute for this post and I'm all turned around with the dang time zones. I keep forgetting that I no longer live in the future and now I feel like I'm behind on everything. As I do this, it's 4:25am back home on the day that this is supposed to post and it's 1:25pm here the day before. It's still Tuesday here, if you're wondering. Dang time zones. And it's going to be like this for another five weeks for me. Oh, the agony! But that said, it's nice to be visiting Steve's mom and catching up with some friends we haven't seen for a long time here.

PS. This is scheduled to post at 6am and I finished it at 5:07am. Talk about getting in by the skin of my teeth!

What Helen Read #74: July 2022

Y'all, I am so behind. Do you know what it's like trying to catch up after losing two weeks to being sick? Argh! So much work to do. Last week, on Thursday, I looked at my to-do list and it said 32 items outstanding. That does not include current to-dos. Only the overdue ones. I did a big push on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to get to 17 items outstanding. Yesterday, Tuesday, I was at 13 items outstanding, but today, I'm back at 15 items outstanding, so it would appear that I am falling behind again. Yikes. Anyway...

What Helen Read #73: June 2022

Wanna know something? It's super late. And I'm super late. I'm also using the word super a lot. Anyhoo, at least I'm doing this now, eh? It's been a busy day. I should be in bed reading already since it's past 9am, but here I am.

What Helen Read #72: May 2022

Y'all, I almost forgot about this post. Argh! My only excuse is that work has been terribly busy (that's a good thing), but it means that if I'm not diligent about checking off my to-do list, sometimes I miss things. Today was crazy busy with a few new clients, but I was also focused on trying to catch up on scheduling a few things that I'm behind on. Oy! The time kinda ran away with me. But have no fear, here I am.

What Helen Read #71: April 2022

Surprisingly, things are rather calm right now. I'm grateful for it though yesterday was busy and well, the last month has been busy. I'm kinda glad I am feeling somewhat caught up, plus I've been rather diligently setting up a to-do list and checking it off daily. That has really helped. How was your April?

What Helen Read #70: March 2022

Trying to get back on schedule but work has been crazy. I got to about 5pm today and thought, heck, I need to prep for tomorrow's post, so here I am. Phew! I should have got this done a lot earlier but I was working on a client's video that was quite tricky. That kinda consumed me and then I had to feed Steve. And now I'm finally getting to this.

What Helen Read #69: February 2022

Well, it's been a heck of a couple of weeks. I've been crazy busy with work and learning a few new skills to help support the authors I work with. It's been a huge learning curve, long nights in the office, and long days too. I've even gotten up in the middle of the night at 2am or so and got back into the office to work for a few hours then tiring and going back to bed to sleep for a couple more hours before getting up for the day. The dangers of working from home. That said, it's work I enjoy and I'm enjoyed the challenge of learning something new. Still a long ways to go yet, but I'm getting there. As a result of that, my reading time has been quite limited, but I'm getting a bit of reading in.Oh, I should mention, if you want to stalk me everywhere, go here.

What Helen Read #68: January 2022

I'm putting this together and reading what I read before. Guess what, we did the exact same thing. We went to the pub for Sunday Roast. The only difference this time was it was lamb roast instead of pork roast and I remembered to order extra gravy because gravy is all that. Gravy on roast potatoes with salt is delicious. We had a wonderful lunch but glad we went early because the pub got pretty busy just as we were finishing. And now I'm home putting this together. Hope you had a good weekend.
