Video portfolio #6: The Stationmaster's Cottage by Phillipa Nefri Clark | Sale video for TikTok and Instagram

Video portfolio

I am very grateful for repeat clients who like my work enough to want me to make more videos for them. This time, author Phillipa Nefri Clark had a month-long promo for the first book in her most popular series and wanted videos to promote the book and the sale. This was such fun to do encompassing both similar and different elements in each video to make them unique.

Do still check out my TikTok account  there are lots of different videos there. There are also videos on my YouTube channel so check that out too.

Insta-Week #13: In which we had lots of wine

Did you know we live on a vineyard? And we are surrounded by vines? And our estate has a cellar door and its own wine label? No? Well, on top of that, Steve has written a book about wine. We've been rather boozy the last week because Steve has finished a major project and we have been celebrating. I'm feeling decidedly pickled.

So here's my last week in Instagram pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

1999 Keith Tulloch Kester Shiraz
We started the celebrations with this beauty. A 1999 Keith Tulloch The Kester Shiraz. It's got gorgeous flavors of raisins and rich dates. Very exotic and full of fruit. This is also one we rescued from the floods recently and had to be drunk quickly.

Insta-Week #12: In which the internet sucked

This has been a very random week.

So here's my last week in Instagram pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Sucky internet speed
For starters, we woke up to really sucky internet. Not a good thing. We work from home. We needs the internet. Seriously, dial up was faster.

Insta-Week #11: In which there were bad storms

We had storms last week. Very, very bad storms. It came from the north and cut a swath of destruction along its wake. Many people suffered very severe damage. Fortuantely for us, our home in the vineyards was barely affected. The worst of the storms missed us and all we had were steady drizzles over three days. It rained but it didn't pour. We didn't lose power, we didn't lose internet. A blessing.

Sadly, our apartment in the city did not fare nearly as well. We are in a basement apartment, and that flooded. Along with the garage, back storage room and the wine cellar.

So here's my last week in Instagram pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Weather rain radar Hunter region  Rain radar NSW coast
I started getting rather obsessed with my new rain radar app once I learned about the storms. Pretty much stalked the app for several days straight. The left is the rain radar for our region in the vineyards and the right is for the whole coast. As you can see, rain all the way up and down the coast. Yikes!

Insta-Week #10: In which we celebrate 15 years

Nothing happened for a week while I had the flu. I was pretty much stuck in bed most of the time and even (at times) managed to get some reading done when I was not too busy sleeping. Fortunately, I recovered after a week and we were able to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, my darling Steve and I. He took me to our favorite restaurant for lunch and we, of course, had a boozy lunch.

So here's my last week in Instagram pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Bistro Molines view
One of the things which makes eating here special is the view. It looks into a valley of vineyards. Truly spectacular even if it was rather cloudy on the day we were there.

Insta-Week #9: In which I have new glasses

Gee, how the week flies by. The last week has been rather rotten. I've been sick with the flu but before that happened, I did get out and do some fun stuff so I have things to show for the week. We'll ignore the part where I was stuck in bed after that. :-)

So here's my last week in Instagram pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Chanel No 5
I decided to take myself shopping as I needed a new lipstick. I stopped in at Chanel for a look around and ended up picking up some pretties from them. I feel so fancy.

Insta-Week #8: In which there are vines and vineyards and nature stuff

I got tagged by a friend to play the Nature Photography game on Facebook and hence last week was pretty much all about me trying to get nature photographs taken and posted. I'm not very good at it but I did manage to fulfil the requirements of the game. It was fun to play and I got to tag 7 other people to participate, most of whom have joined in and it has been fun to see what they post. :-)

So here's my last week in Instagram pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Grapevines
Day 1: my friend tagged me because she liked my pictures of the vineyards. If it hasn't been mentioned before, I live on a vineyard so I'm surrounded by vines. It's Fall / Autumn here at the moment, so the vines are looking a bit sad, but lovely nonetheless. This is is right of my front door and in the yard to the side of the house.

Insta-Week #7: In which I recover from the stomach virus

My apologies for the tardiness last week where there are no Insta-Week. Not because there were no pictures but because I forgot. Yeah, really, it was that simple. I forgot. Then, by the time I remembered, it was too late. So let me catch you up ...

So here's my last week in Instagram pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Shed roof outside Shed roof outside 2
I have an update on the shed progress. We now have doors and the cladding for the ceiling has been done. Doesn't it look gorgeous? Vaulted timber ceilings ... for a shed! Talk about overkill! But is looks amazing.

Insta-Week #6: In which there is a gorgeous book quilt

There's not much to show for this week in terms of pictures. I got sick on Friday with what I thought was food poisoning, or maybe a bad reaction to some vaccines I had, or maybe a virus. I don't know, but I've been laid up and pretty much stuck in bed for the better part of the week.

So here's my last week in Instagram pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Book quilt
This is the big news of the week. My BFF from Minnesota made me this stunning book quilt. It's amazing and a real labour of love. I can't sew to save my life, so this is a tremendous gift. She mailed it to me and I got it this week. I've been raving about it ever since. Isn't it stunning?

Insta-Week #5: In which we remember the veterans

It's another Insta-Week. No update on the shed this week since it still looks pretty much the same. The guys are working on the inside. The painting outside won't be done for another 3 weeks, so nothing new to see.

So here's my last week in Instagram pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Teddy bear
I'd like to introduce you to Teddy. I'm just a big kid really and I can't be without my Teddy. Yes, I'm only 5 years old on the inside! :-p

Insta-Week #4: In which there are doors and goals

Wow! I left it kinda late for this week's Insta-Week but phew! Got it done in time. Things have been rather crazy in casa Deanna's lately. I have a new baby nephew. He's adorable. I'm sorry, no photos. My brother is very private and does not want any photos shared publicly. It kills me. I'm dying to share photos of him. He's a beautiful baby.

So here's my last week in Instagram pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Shed doors
Continuing on the update of the shed / carport, we now have doors. It looks amazing. I picked out the doors. I love them. Can't wait till they are stained and the handles are on.

Insta-Week #3: In which the boy smiles

Good grief! I almost forgot about this week's Insta-Week. How very slack of me!! It's been a busy week, I've barely had time to catch my breath and phew! Lots of stuff happening.

So here's my last week in Instagram pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Shed
First things first, progress on the shed is coming along nicely. The wall insulation is up and the windows are in. They have also started cladding the outside. It still needs to be painted to match the house though.

Insta-Week #2: In which there are flubombs

This is me working on being consistent and hoping I have lots of pictures to share. I might need to get even more snap happy than I already am. I also need to branch out beyond food pictures. :-)

So here's my last week in Instagram pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Foggy driving conditions  Rainy driving on road
Each week, we drive down into the city from our home for work. We stay usually Sunday evening through Thursday evening, but this week Steve decided he wanted to stay an extra night at home, so we left early on Monday morning. We got greeted with first fog, then pelting rain. A wonderful start to the week.

Insta-Week #1: In which there is an award

Well, I'm consistent about being inconsistent, I'll give myself that. Insta-Thursday has now become Insta-Friday but since I'm not sure if I'll do it every Friday (which I plan to) I'm going to call it Insta-Week, ya know, just to give myself an out. :-p

So here's my last week in Instagram pictures. I'm getting a bit caught up so there's actually a couple of weeks of pictures here. I hope you enjoy them.

Cathleen Ross
A couple of weeks ago, we attended the ARRA 2016 Awards Dinner and my dear friend Cathleen Ross won Best Sci Fi Romance for 2015.

Insta-Thursday #1: In which I show you my face

So, I follow this great blog called Herding Cats & Burning Soup and Anna has a weekly post called Insta-Wednesday where she posts her past week in pictures. I thought it was a great idea and felt it was a great way for those of you who do not follow me on Instagram or Twitter to see what I'm up to and learn a little bit more about me. Warning: There will be a lot of pictures of food.

So here's my last week in Instagram pictures, though I'm doing my post on a Thursday rather than a Wednesday.

ps. I'm not certain yet how often I will do this, but I aim to do it at least once a month amidst all the other stuff I do on a Thursday on the bloggity.
