Adding to the TBR #5

Free books

Hello there,

How's your TBR coming along? Is it nearly empty, short, long, or out of control? Gonna be honest, mine's out of control but it doesn't stop me from buying more books that pique my interest. Anyhoo, aside from that, how about some free books to add to your TBR? And who doesn't love a free book or two?

We are well and truly into the year now. Have you been reading much? Do you need to add more books to your TBR because it's empty from all that reading you did over the holidays?

Cover reveal: Vampire Blood series by Juliette Cross

The Black Lily cover reveal

A bonus post today because I'm so excited by this cover reveal of one of my favorite vampire series. This series has been out for a few years, but it's being given a fresh look and a brand new lease on life. I hope this new branding attracts new readers to the series because it is an amazing series featuring vampires in a fairy tale retelling for each of the stories.

What Helen Read #67: December 2021

Another Sunday and we were at the local pub for a Sunday roast. I do love a Sunday roast and this was roast pork. Yummy. I keep thinking I need to get my act together and be more prepared for my Monday post, but for some reason I procrastinate till the last minute, so here I am, after a yummy lunch and thinking I'd rather have a nap. LOL. What are you doing on your Sunday?

Here's what Helen read for the last month.

Books I have not finished 2022 #1

Okay, I know I posted a DNF books review post recently, but I had a bunch accumulated from last year and I didn't want them to carry over for too long. My apologies if you're over the whole DNF thing, but I promise not to post them too frequently. Hopefully, during this year, I will have much fewer books that I do not enjoy. Maybe I need to be more discerning with the books and authors I try and stick to old favorites. A lot of the DNFs are from new to me authors. Sigh.

So without much further ado, here's some books I have not finished recently.

What Deanna Read #71: December 2021

December came and went and with it a bunch of reading and hitting my unofficial reading goal of 365 books for the year. I stopped at 365 but in reality I read more than that but carried those over to 2022. This means that 2022 started with a surplus of books read. Can't complain about that.

Here's what I read for the month.

Deanna's 2021 year in books

Reading goals

I have a few reading goals I set each year and they are quite modest. I don't like to set difficult goals for myself because I'm one of those weird people who will dig my heels in and not go for that goal, but if I set a reasonable goal then I challenge myself to exceed it and set an unofficial (higher) goal to get to.

2021 Recap: Deanna's Top 10 reads

Champagne toast

Hello and Happy New Year!!

I can't believe 2021 is over already. The year went by so quickly. Maybe I'm just getting older and time seems to pass faster the older I get. It's been one heck of a year. The pandemic was still going full speed ahead and we're not out of the woods yet with another major outbreak. Sigh.

Happy New Year!!!

2021 was not so different from 2020 in a lot of aspects, but at the same time it was a new year with new beginnings. And to 2022, there are new beginnings to and hope for a better year.

Here's wishing you the best for 2022. May it be filled with hope and joy. Stay safe if you're celebrating and be well.

xoxo, Deanna
