What do you think #1: Titan by Jillian Graves | Page flip videos

So I need advice and I thought, hey, I'll ask my lovely readers on the bloggity. I'm doing some experimenting with a popular format of video and I would genuinely like to know what appeals and why. Please, please take a couple of minutes to watch what I've included below and give me your opinion. I promise it won't take much of your time. One of them is only 7 seconds long or short, rather.

I am very grateful for repeat clients who like my work enough to want me to make more videos for them. This time, author Phillipa Nefri Clark had a month-long promo for the first book in her most popular series and wanted videos to promote the book and the sale. This was such fun to do encompassing both similar and different elements in each video to make them unique.

Video portfolio #5: Elusive Treasure by Erin Moira O'Hara | Different versions and formats of the same video

It's a public holiday here so I'm trying to do a little catch up and update my portfolio. There be stuff to see coming!! <Arrr!! Said in my (terrible) pirate voice!> This installment contains a book trailer I created for Elusive Treasure by Erin Moira O'Hara. I had such fun with this one and Erin is such a lovely client to work with.

I had so much fun with these videos and they are such a great way to add scripted audio to a video. I was so excited I couldn't wait to upload these to show them off. The videos have been cranking away and I'm thrilled that my clients are enjoying what I make for them. Okay, I've been a bit slack on this front, posting up my live author interviews on the bloggity so it's easy for people who are interested to access. That said, they are all on my Deanna's World YouTube channel so you can always go look there.

I'm on this very steep learning curve with it comes to TikTok and marketing my author services, etc., while still trying to have fun. It's a trip, y'all. For the most part I've managed to now show my face in videos because I'm kinda shy like that. I don't even know why that's the case since I had a YouTube video for years and every video showed my face on it. But y'all, that's gone straight out the window because when I hit 1000 followers, I got the live feature unlocked and was able to do live videos. Then I proceeded to experiment and make a complete fool of myself on live TikTok.

Y'all, things have been crazy with work. I've been so busy and trying to maintain all the social media platforms. Oof! I'mnot complaining though because I've started taking the whole author services part of my day job a lot more seriously. Not that I've not been serious before but I hadn't put much effort into marketing it and with Steve's encouragement, I've started doing that. That's been a bit of a learning curve but I'm enjoying it. Plus, new clients. Yay!

1000 TikTok followers giveaway

Greetings! I'm here to celebrate a milestone of gaining 1000 followers on TikTok. In the TikTok world, this is both small potatoes and a big deal. Small potatoes because, let's face it, lots of bigger accounts with more followers out there. Big deal because I can finally post a link to my profile bio so people can find me. So this is me saying thank you to everyone who has supported me. And this is not limited to those who follow me on TikTok either.

Getting the hang of TikTok and it's hella fun for bookish things

The best thing about rejigging the bloggity schedule? Some breathing room and the ability to have time to throw in an extra post now and then without have to worry about deadlines and disappointing my readers. Plus it's now past midnight on Sunday "morning" and I can't sleep so I'm sitting in the dark in my office being nutty. Drives Steve bonkers.
