What Deanna Read #19: August 2017

Well, August has been a quieter reading month. I've been busy preparing for our US trip and working on the blog trying to blog ahead for while I'm away. I did get some reading done and some of it was excellent.

Here's what I read for the month.

The reading has been pretty good this month despite the low numbers.

The stand out book of the month is The Love Experiment by Ainslie Paton. Despite it's rather unfortunate cover, it's an excellent book. It's hella fun but also surprisingly deep. I highly recommend it.

Other than that, Bonding Games started a bit iffy for me but ended strong. I love Cathryn Fox as an author so I tend to read most of what she publishes.

And finally, a surprise read - Royally Raised by Emma Chase. It's a novella set 20 years into the future after the end of the first two books. I've not read the series but this novella made me want to go back and read the earlier books.

That's it from me. What did you read for this last month? Do leave a comment and let me know.

And stay tuned for Helen's reading list for the month too.

  2. My goodness, looks like you got a few good ones in. You're right, the cover does seem a little strange, but here is a perfect example of not judging a book by its cover, right? (lol) Hugs and happy Saturday!

    1. The cover looks so 70s zen to me. Very flower power. But yeah, excellent book despite the cover.
