Books I have not finished 2022 #2

These have been accumulating so I've got a bunch to share with you today. It's inevitable that if you read as many books as I do in a year and if you try as many new authors as I do in a year, there are bound to be some that are not to your taste. This is me for whatever reason, these books are not my jam. Some of them are pretty hyped up books that  a lot of people love too. Thank goodness for Kindle Unlimited that allows me to try a lot of new stuff without too much of a financial consequence since I can borrow the book and return it if it doesn't work for me. On the flip side, if I try a book and find a new author I love, I can glom the author's backlist and then buy all her books if I want to reread them.

So without much further ado, here's some books I have not finished recently.

Why do we read?

I saw an interesting question posed in a group the other day. The poster was asking people why they read and I thought, "huh, interesting" because I had to think about why I read since I read a lot and also have a book blog.

I am very grateful for repeat clients who like my work enough to want me to make more videos for them. This time, author Phillipa Nefri Clark had a month-long promo for the first book in her most popular series and wanted videos to promote the book and the sale. This was such fun to do encompassing both similar and different elements in each video to make them unique.

Video portfolio #5: Elusive Treasure by Erin Moira O'Hara | Different versions and formats of the same video

It's a public holiday here so I'm trying to do a little catch up and update my portfolio. There be stuff to see coming!! <Arrr!! Said in my (terrible) pirate voice!> This installment contains a book trailer I created for Elusive Treasure by Erin Moira O'Hara. I had such fun with this one and Erin is such a lovely client to work with.

Video portfolio #4: Thin Ice by Cassie Mint | Adding scripted audio tracks to videos

I had so much fun with these videos and they are such a great way to add scripted audio to a video. I was so excited I couldn't wait to upload these to show them off. What Helen Read #72: May 2022

Y'all, I almost forgot about this post. Argh! My only excuse is that work has been terribly busy (that's a good thing), but it means that if I'm not diligent about checking off my to-do list, sometimes I miss things. Today was crazy busy with a few new clients, but I was also focused on trying to catch up on scheduling a few things that I'm behind on. Oy! The time kinda ran away with me. But have no fear, here I am.

What Deanna Read #76: May 2022

I don't think I read as much this month, but I haven't counted yet. I'll know once I get this done, but it's been a busy month, work-wise. I'm trying to think back what I did all month as it seemed to fly by, but yeah, work, work, work. It felt like I did not read as much. On the bright side, I got a bunch of new clients and I'm enjoying the work.

TikTok is driving me mad but hey, I had a video go nuts on the views this morning, so I guess I can't complain about that. It's such a simple video too, so I don't even know why it's taken off. I will never understand TikTok.You can watch it here.
