What Helen Read #46: February 2020

Greetings again! Still in London as I write this but by the time you read it, I will be in either Cardiff, Wales or Scotland. We are doing a little road trip to visit a few author friends and then on a whisky tour in Scotland, Speyside to be exact because Steve is a massive whisky fan and he's super excited about the Scottish whiskies.

And you know what? I'm getting used to the cold. I generally like the cold anyway but it hasn't been that cold and I've been able to not have to rug up too much. It's generally between 5 and 12 degrees Celsius during the day. When the sun is out, it's lovely. But enough about me...

Here's what Helen read for the last month.

Helen always has a fab reading month. Let's see what stood out for her ...

Fifteen books this month and not one of them a dud, wow I am not sure where to start, I did read a few big women’s fiction books and I have to say they were fabulous. They are:

Truths I Never Told You by Kelly Rimmer
The River Home by Hannah Richell
Desire Lines by Felicity Volk

These were all heart-wrenching and beautiful at the same time and I do highly recommend them.

I loved Annie West’s newest book, Revelations Of A Secret Princess. It has a fabulous setting and the hero to die for. Dani Collin’s was the third in a series of Spanish heroes and so good with Bound By Their Nine-Month Scandal, Ann B Harrison had me smiling with her book Second Chance Billionaire. If you love dogs and great heroes this is one for you.

I can’t not mention Ainslie Paton’s newest fun, sexy and steamy story, One Night With The Sexiest Man Alive. I loved it and Bronwyn Sells romantic comedy, Lovestruck was a fun read set on an island in The Whitsundays.

A fabulous mystery from Phillipa Nefri Clark, Deadly Falls is a page turner.

And I finished the rest of the Bindarra Creek A Town Reborn series. It's a lovey small town series from Juanita Kees with Promise Me Forever, and Erin Moria O’Hara with A Twist Of Fate.

Have Fun, Helen.
