It's been a while since I've read a good romantic suspense, so I decided I'd pick one for this week's Friday Freebie. I do love a good romantic suspense. It takes me back to the days before I read romance where I was reading the likes of Vince Flynn and James Patterson. Now I get the thrill and suspense of those books with a happy ending thrown in and I do love a good happy ending. :-)

I was born a poor, white child into a modestly affluent family, third daughter to a father who wanted only sons.
