What Helen Read #41: September 2019
Hello again! Because I'm behind so far this month, you get a twofer
this week. I'm trying to catch up so squeezing in Helen's September
reads as well. And once this is done, I can feel a bit more caught up
and less guilty for being slack even if I had good reasons for it. Jet
lag, y'all. Jet lag. It's no fun.

What Deanna Read #44: September 2019
Oh my gosh! How slack am I? I'm so late with this post and it's all
because we got home from our US trip then went straight into the city
for work meetings and concerts. We didn't get home till days after and
then I crashed. Jet lag is no joke, y'all. I was so tired. I'm still
tired. As I'm writing this, I'm about three or four hours behind on my
day because I slept in this morning. It wasn't even intentional. I just
didn't wake up!! I was stunned when I looked at the clock this morning
when I finally opened my eyes. It was LATE! But, hey, September was a
pretty good reading month. I tried to get as much reading in as I could
even though I was away. October, on the other hand, is not going so
well on the reading front.
Here's what I read for the month.

Books I have not finished in 2019 #1
I've been cautious about what I read this year and have not
experimented as much. As a result of that, I haven't DNFed as many
books. The reasons for that are, I didn't think I'd have much time to
read this year so I set my reading goal low and focused on authors I
love and enjoy, and I have not been experimenting with as many new to
me authors. The few times I have experimented, more often than not,
I've DNFed the book, hence there are many new-to-me authors I've DNFed
below. It's always a pot shot when trying a new author even when others
love them and highly recommend them. Tastes are so different. Just
because I didn't enjoy these books doesn't mean you wouldn't.

What Helen Read #40: August 2019
As you read this I am on my way to the North Shore for a road
trip. I can't wait to check out and hike around Lake Superior again. I
love that lake so much and when I visited a couple of years ago, I
couldn't wait to get back. It's such a majestic lake.
And of course, this month Helen had another great reading month. I don't think there's ever a month where Helen doesn't have a great reading month. Many books that she has loved as well.

What Deanna Read #43: August 2019
Hello! Hello! I'm crazy busy right now. We leave for the US to visit
family for a month on Monday (the day this post goes live) and I'm
trying to get ahead. I still have to pack and give Steve and haircut
and then tomorrow we are heading into the city to celebrate Father's
Day with my family. Where does all the time go? I didn't even want to
get out of bed this morning.
Here's what I read for the month.
