What Deanna Read #104: February 2025

You guys!!! I am SO TIRED. My day job is kicking my butt, so it's a good thing that I love it. I honestly don't know if I read much in February because I was away for a few days and didn't get much reading done, then there was a lot of work reading and when I'm doing a lot of work reading the brain doesn't cope well with fun reading. I'm currently about to start the 4th? 5th? read through of the book I'm editing. Oof!

Here's what I read in the last month.

Yep, another small reading month. Not much more than last month and only two audiobooks, but because they were both not great and that kinda stalled me on the audio front for a while.

I settled into some old favorites. TS Joyce where I finished her Kane's Mountain series, and Jessa Kane because I needed a bunch of short, spicy reads to suit my tired brain's mood. I reread Praise Me: President twice, then read Praise Me: Princess, then reread it again later in the month, and also read The Farmer's Daughter, and When You Know. Fair warning if you ever decide to try her books. They are quite bonkers. There are her tamer ones because I'm not brave enough to read her REALLY bonkers one.

LOVED Cassie Mint's Accidentally Kidnapping The Hitman which was just delightful. I lament the fact that Ms Mint does not release as frequently as she used to and she's my reward read after finishing a work-related book.

Small, small month. Not much stood out. Quite a few duds, if I'm being honest. Let's just say I'm grateful for my KU subscription or it would have been an expensive and frustrating month.

That's it from me. Hopefully, March will be better.

How did you go with your reading? Read any good books last month?
