What Helen Read #68: January 2022

I'm putting this together and reading what I read before. Guess what, we did the exact same thing. We went to the pub for Sunday Roast. The only difference this time was it was lamb roast instead of pork roast and I remembered to order extra gravy because gravy is all that. Gravy on roast potatoes with salt is delicious. We had a wonderful lunch but glad we went early because the pub got pretty busy just as we were finishing. And now I'm home putting this together. Hope you had a good weekend.

Here's what Helen read for the last month.

Helen always has a fabulous reading month. Let's see what stood out for her.

Where do I start maybe with the Harlequin M&B books read in January because all of them were just so good, 5 star reads. Liz Fielding is one of my most favourite authors and her newest Redeemed By Her Midsummer Kiss was so beautiful, Kandy Shepherd has a new book out Second Chance With His Cinderella and this one is sure to make you smile and then there are Kalie Anthony’s Snowbound In His Billion-Dollar Bed is a fabulous second chance romance and Annie West what can I say she never disappoints and her new one Claiming His Virgin Princess had me turning the pages.

I read a few of historicals Ella Carey’s The Girl From Paris another page turner and I do enjoy. I read a viking story and Tanya Nellestein’s 3rd book, The Valkyrie Queen, in her series was a great read and Soraya Lane’s Under A Sky Of Memories was heart-felt and heart-warming story about nurses in WW2.

You can never go past a new Penelope Janu story and her rural romance Clouds On The Horizon had a lot of suspense in this one and is one I would recommend

The Waterhole by Lily Malone, Exit .45 by Ben Sanders and Already Dead by Jaye Ford were all books that kept me on the edge of my seat

I also caught up a bit on Nalini Singh's Psy-Changeling series with Shield Of Winter and read Rachael Johns' Jilted as they are part of a couple of challenges I am doing and thoroughly enjoyed both.

OK, I will stop now but really they were all great books and I would recommend them all.

Have fun, Helen.
