I'm not sure if it's possible, but I think October might have been an even sadder effort than September. I haven't counted yet, but I think that's the case. I hope the count proved me wrong but the brain was not braining last month and I finally found out why. I hope this means the second half of November and December means I'll be reading more for fun despite work being bonkers.
Here's what I read in the last month.

At the end of September's post, I said something the extent of October being a better month. It was not. There were a lot of duds, including one by a favorite author and one that came highly recommended. I had a hard time switching off my editor brain, and on top of that, I had a hard time finding books to read that held my attention. I think those two things go hand in hand, and one thing exacerbates the other.
That said, the Graphic Audio of The Best Thing You Can Steal by Simon R Green was wonderful. It's not my usual genre but with Graphic Audio, I'm willing to try almost anything. This was a lot of fun and really quite entertaining. I'm waiting for the rest of the series to go on sale so I can grab a few more to listen to.
Aside from that, Saving Mr Norcross by Anna Hackett was a lot of fun. It was short but action-packed, and a little bit steamy.
Then I went onto the other side of the spectrum and went with VERY steamy with a reread of Jessa Kane's Property of Pops.
Alas, nothing else was worth mentioning which is a sad state of affairs.
So, what did you read for the last month? Tell me below.

Gill
Gill & Ann, I'm so glad replies work. The website comments can be so strange. I don't know why either.
DeleteGill, welcome back from summer holidays. I have a friend who lives in Barcelona and he was saying how much he was enjoying the Spanish sunshine after a short visit back to the UK to see his family.
Good effort on the reading front for October. You, Ann, and I all read Saving Mr Norcross. So we have that in common.
Fun fact, I recently downloaded a book by Lynn Raye Harris onto my Kindle app. I'm looking forward to reading it soon.
Read all of Lynn Raye Harris books, apart from the early harlequin ones. Love her books
DeleteI'll move her up the list.
