I've been looking forward to this last installment of the series for a while now, at the same time being a bit anxious about whether I would enjoy it or not. I wanted the relationship situation between Taylor, Alder and Hale to be settled and to see them living together in peace and harmony. Yes, I do love a happy ending.
Resolution of the relationship didn't come easy with Alder being away for the winter and Taylor being left on her own with a very surly and conflicted Hale. I thoroughly enjoyed the insights into Hale's feelings as he confessed how he felt to Taylor.
I'm glad that the relationship was properly resolved and enjoyed the final confrontation between Hale and Alder about their status as mates to Taylor.
The arrival of the twins was harrowing and adorable. I loved the epilogue and getting a glimpse of their lives as they settle into domesticity and routine. I expect life this throw more curve balls at them as living in the wilderness is wont to do but that's for another story and another time.
Thoroughly enjoyable last installment to the series.
