What Helen Read #10: January 2017

Gee, doesn't a month past quickly? Remember when you were a kid and they days just didn't go fast enough between holidays and birthdays and any other special events? And now? Too little time, too many books. If I could read a book a day, everyday, I would would be happy.

But me lamenting time aside, Helen's had a good reading month. Check it out.

You know what I love about Helen? Her unending optimism and how much she loves her books.

Her stand out reads this month include: The Long Paddock by Alissa Callen. It's a fabulous, moving and emotional story set in small town Australia. Not only that, it takes on health issues and the struggles of small town living.

Princes and sheikhs abound too with The Prince's Convenient Proposal by Barbara Hannay and The Sheikh's Convenient Princess by Liz Fielding. They were boht beautifully written and highly romantic, and they put a smile on Helen's face.

Helen also read The Governess Affair by Courtney Milan. Her first by this author in preparation for attending ARRC2017 where Courtney is one of the keynote speakers. It was a great story and has made Helen want to read more by her.

With Call To Honor by Tawny Weber, Ms Weber starts a new series with the end of the Blaze imprint at Harlequin and the start of something new. Helen says she loves Ms Webers SEALs.

Also woth mentioning is Bride From The Sea by Frances Housden, something unusual with selkies, and something different with a new author and debut novel, In At The Deep End by Penelope Janu.
