On the reading front this month, there's a mixed bag. I caught up on posting some reviews of books that I read previously so there's some of that in there. I slowed down the reading and didn't read as much, or at least I didn't think I read as much. Also with our trip away at the beginning of the month, I didn't read at all for about a week so that cut into the reading too. Still a decent month though.
Here's what I read for the month.
Well, it's been a month, hasn't it? On the reading front, it was okay. There wasn't anything over the top awesome but lots of books I've enjoyed. I don't know if there were any that particularly stood out but I'll share a few that I've enjoyed.
I've been having a lot of fun with Frankie Love's The First Mountain Man series about some men who time travel back into the prehistoric age and have to live like cave men. They are short, instalove stories, but so much fun. Definitely suspend disbelief for these books. Cave Man Need Wife and Cave Man Make Baby were hella fun stories and over way too soon.
I discovered recently that there's a whole series from Anna Hackett where I've only read two out of twelve books in the series. I have all the books, I just don't know why I've never read more of them because I enjoy them and I love Ms Hackett's writing. I started that series again and read Among Galactic Ruins and At Star's End. Very Indiana Jones meets Space Cowboys. Great, entertaining stories.
A long time favorite author, Thea Harrison is finally releasing the wrap up of a book she started a long time ago but never finished because of health issues. I'm so happy to read The Adversary and see that story arc wrapped up even though it has gone from and promised four book series down to a duology. It's still great writing and a great story. I loved seeing things come to a happy conclusion with the potential for lots more stories to come. I hope there will be more stories, health permitting for Ms Harrison. Her books bring me such joy.
That's it from me. What did you read this last month? Do leave a comment and let me know.
Stay tuned for what Helen read too.

Great list. I've got a book by Jackie Lau downloaded but haven't read it yet based on your recommendation. I'll get to it eventually.
DeleteOh, another book I really enjoyed was new to me author, Zeta Star. Her book, Grr! was fantastic. Funny and fun. I'll be reading more of her.
A great list there Deanna and I am glad that enjoyed most of them and had a good trip away as well :)

The trip was great. I'm still dreaming of that Italian meal I had at a particular restaurant. Some of the best Italian food I've had. Their gnocchi was amazing.
