What Deanna Read #31: August 2018

So August was a little better. I managed to sneak in five books and I enjoyed all of them. Yay! Win!!

Here's what I read for the month.

As far as reading months go, what with work and all, this has been a good month for me. I've read more than the last couple of months and there were some excellent books.

Darkest Heart by Juliette Cross stole my breath. Dommiel is such an amazing anti-hero. I had no idea I would fall so hard for him. What a world Ms Cross has built. You need to read this book.

Deadly Alliance by Maddie Wade and India Kells was amazing. It caught me in its grip and would not let go. Even after reading the book, my mind kept replaying scenes over and over. I lost sleep over this book. Read it! Read it!

That's it from me. What did you read for this last month? Do leave a comment and let me know.

And stay tuned for Helen's reading list for the month too.

    1. This last month was better but I'm not sure what September will be like. I've had no time to read at all so far.

    1. Gill, what did you think of the Cynthia Eden Lazarus project books? I have book 1 to read at some point. Oh yes, Anna Hackett has a new series out. Was it gooooooodddd??? I keep meaning to read Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. For some reason, I have this idea in my head that her books would be funny.

  3. Yes, I loved the Cynthia Eden series. As always with these paranormals I wonder how they deal with the aging of a non paranormal!
The Anna Hackett was a good start to the series. Read in one go as her books are quite short, but lack a lot in.
These are the only Mimi Jean Pamfiloff's I've read. Very different but not humerous

    2. Yes, very true. Anna Hackett does pack a lot into a short book. And her stories are always so satisfying.

    3. Mimi has a book called God of Wine and I want to read that because my Steve is a real wine guy. He's even written a book about wine.
