On the reading front, December was a slower month for me. I had already exceeded my reading challenge goal by streets so I took it easy. That said, I think I still managed to read a fair bit.
That's it from me. I hope everyone is well. My thoughts are with you all. Stay safe.
Here's what I read for the month.

Well, whaddya know? Even for a month where I thought I read less and took it easy, I read two more books in December than I did in November. Woo!! Go me!! How did that happen? I was taking it easy!!
I watched the movie A Christmas Exchange in December and after that I wanted to read the book the movie was based on. I even posted a review of the movie here. I figured it was December so I should watch at least one Christmas movie, right? Anyway, I hunted down, okay, it wasn't much hunting since the book was on Amazon, but I got Molly Cooper's Dream Date to read and compare with the movie. The book was sweet and charming, done almost entirely in emails and journal entries. I think I enjoyed the movie more but the book was lovely too.
I read a Christmas book that I loved as well. Okay, I read a lot of Christmas books in December. I felt like I had too because (1) everyone was releasing Christmas books and (2) it was coming up to Christmas so I needed to read them, right? It's like written in the blogger handbook or something. 😛 Anyway, Cold Killjoy by Esther E Schmidt was a favorite for the month. I just loved Cold as a hero. He's so grumpy. I love grumpy heroes.
I continued to read more TS Joyce with Make Her New and Quickdraw Slow Burn. A Shifter For Christmas was a delightfully sweet Christmas story and I adored it. She, of course, continues to be one of my favorite authors and of course, she made it into my top 10 for 2020. Her books deliver such wonderful character development, plot, and they always, always touch my heart. They have all been five-star books.
Echo by Seven Rue was an interesting read and a new author to me. Echo is mute but not deaf. She can't speak but she can hear and she uses sign language to communitcate. It was an interesting book reading about how she communicated with her disability but it was also wonderful to see how she connected and fell for the heroes. I'm definitely going to check out more of Ms Rue's books.
Another new to me author, Miley Maine hit my radar this month and I read a few of her books and became hooked on her writing. I might have binged a few of her books since I was so wrapped up in her writing style. Fake Boyfriend is a romantic suspense with an Army Ranger hero and The Christmas Proposal was a sweet and sexy Christmas story. Miley Maine made it into my top 10 reads for 2020 as well.
I also dived into the Vested Interest series by Melanie Moreland with Bentley. Ms Moreland is another author that made it into my top 10 for 2020. Another author I have loved discovering this year. I keep recommending her books over and over. They are such wonderfully romantic and engaging books. And her books will surprise you because they are not all the same.
Of course, I can't forget or leave out Mine To Keep by Rhenna Morgan which is the last of her NOLA Knights series. What a stunning, intense, emotional read with an incredible hero and heroine. I adored both Roman and Bonnie. Ms Morgan really knows how to make her romance pack a punch.
That's it from me. What did you read this last month? Do leave a comment and let me know.
Stay tuned for what Helen read too.

Yeah, 2020 was amazing. I found many new authors to love and read a lot. It was the pandemic. No where to go, nothing to do but read.
DeleteHi. Yes, definitely an Anna Hackett book this month. The finale of Team 52. Enjoyed this series, but not as much as her others. This finale was, to my mind, the best. And a few xmassy books too, surprisingly, as I'm not a great fan, and was even more bah humbug about it this year. Lol. So….

Mission Her Justice was great. I loved Jonah. I read that end of November. What did you think of Mine To Keep by Rhenna Morgan? Did you love it? I adored it. So many swoony sighs.
DeleteYes, loved the Rhenna Morgan. Much better than the 2and which implied, to me, a few things I didn't like. Well, apart from murder, lol. Need to read the Men of Haven now.

Oh, you haven't read the Men of Haven? Well then, you are in for a treat. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite out of those men. They are all delicious.
