I have a great deal of love for this series especially how incredibly hot, raw and rugged Derek is. I have serious love for Derek but this episode fell flat for me. Like my friend Bambi said, I probably would not have noticed that this episode was a bit flat if it had been part of a book and I had kept reading, but because of the break between episodes, it stood out.
I did not like the interactions with Frankie nearly as much and I felt like Frankie was being overly pushy and self-centered. I thought that she was being extremely unreasonable when Derek was late for a date and she left, then would not accept his apology and gifts but rather made him beg and grovel. I thought it was really unnecessary and it made me like Frankie a lot less. Then she pushed and pushed, and forced Derek to talk about something he was not prepared to talk about. She was just overly pushy, needy and desperate.
As for Derek, I think he's much more invested in the relationship with Frankie than Frankie is. I love his lust and his desire for Frankie, and just how dirty he is. The only thing that really mars this is his relationship with Tamra which is just sordid, cheap and needs to be resolved.
The other thing about this episode too was there was way more sex than the first two episodes. I didn't mind the sex all that much because Derek is so damned hot and I'm rather hung up on him, but my friend Bambi thought there was too much of it. I didn't care as much for the scenes where Frankie got a little desperate and took matters into her own hands. I just skimmed those.
Something happens towards the end of the episode and I think some major choices are going to be made about the relationship one way or the other in the next, since this episode ends in a cliffhanger. I have a feeling that one of them is going to make the right (to me) choice and one of them is not. Part of me is not looking forward to what will unfold in the next episode and part of me is because there will be more Derek. I'm invested in the series now, so I'll keep reading.

“If you want me, if you want this, then you have to tell me. And it has to be now.” I looked at her wrist. The bracelet she knew I liked was wrapped around her delicate skin; it was the one I had once asked her to wear. She had worn it today and that told me everything I needed to know. “Because Frankie, I don’t believe you really want things between us to end.” Her cheeks darkened and her pupils began to dilate with need. “If you tell me you don’t want me, I’ll…” She had to know I would respect her despite what I wanted. “…I’ll put you down and I’ll leave your condo. What happened between us won’t affect what we have professionally. I promise. But if you want me, then—”
