What Helen Read #64: September 2021

Do you know what today is? Today is the first day of freedom. Our statewide lockdown ends today and we get some freedoms back like being able to visit friends and family, go get a haircut, and eat at restaurants. I'm looking forward to things opening up again but still being very cautious since there are still a lot of unvaccinated people around, particularly in my area. In the meantime, I'm reading a bit more so far this month. How are you doing?

Here's what Helen read for the last month.

Helen always has a fabulous reading month. Let's see what stood out for her.

We are so lucky as readers to have so many wonderful books to read and I am every grateful for them. They take me around the world, back in time, and let me have a good time and choosing stand-outs is ever so hard. 😊

Muster In The Dust by Mel A Rowe is another awesome story in the Elsie Creek series and this one might be my favourite of them all so far. Rigsy, the hero is just the best hero.

Paula J Beavan released her debut this month with Daughter Of The Hunter Valley, and it is one that I highly recommend. I flew through this one not wanting to put it down.

Trish Morey’s The Prince's Royal Love-Child, Helen Lacey’s The Family She Didn't Expect, Melanie Milburn’s Shy Innocent In The Spotlight, Louisa Heaton’s Twins For The Neurosurgeon and Fiona McArthur’s Dr Bennett's Babies all had me smiling lots.

Anna Campbell’s newest Two Secret Sins was a fabulous, sensual read. Another historical, Echoes Of War by Tania Blanchard is a new too me author and I loved it.

Emily Madden’s newest dual time story, The Buchanan Girls, had me turning the pages and guessing what was happening. It's a must read. Sandie Docker’s The Wattle Island Book Club is a beautiful story. Keep the tissues ready for this one.

I could keep going but will stop now but they were all great stories.

Have fun, Helen.

Well, that's it for what Helen read. What did you think? Did you read the same books? Different books? What did you read this month? Tell us below.
