On the other hand, on the covid front, things are improving in our country. There are some small flare ups now and then but aside from that, I think our government has done a great job in keeping this contained and keeping people safe. Contact tracing in my state has been very good. And good news for the state south of us, they have finally moved out of lockdown with zero cases for a few consecutive days. Very happy for them.
That's it from me. I hope everyone is well. My thoughts are with you all. Stay safe.
Here's what I read for the month.
This has been a good reading month. Some longer books, some shorter ones, and a few duds. Mostly though, I made my way through another Anna Hackett series and now I'm sad that I'm done.
To start, I devoured the Team 52 series by Anna Hackett. I never knew I had it in me to binge read, but there you have it. I binge read. My two favorites were Mission: Her Protection, the first book in the series because of Lachlan's eerie golden eyes and his reconnecting with his childhood friend who turns out to be the love of his life, and Mission: Her Freedom because who doesn't love a sexy, hunky geek?
Aside from that, I discovered a new author, Chantal Fernando and I enjoyed her book Custom Built. The only gripe I have about her books is that I read two of them this month and she killed off a beloved secondary character in both books. Is that a thing she does? I don't know but I'm leery of finding out. I do not like characters I enjoy dying.
The big find and love this month is Melanie Moreland. I read her Heart Strings and it took me days to recover from her. Her writing is beautiful, her characters wonderful, and it is so full of heart and emotion. I also loved Revved To The Maxx which was completely different and so quirky and fun, but also full of heart. I can't recommend her books enough. So beautiful. My heart was so full after reading them.
That's it from me. What did you read for this last month? Do leave a comment and let me know.
Stay tuned for Helen's books next.

I think I read King Size last month and loved it. Coincidentally, I was just thinking about it last night as I was drifting off to sleep. What did you think of it?
DeleteAlso, what do you think of the new Norcross series?
I read Kingsize following your comments on it last month. Enjoyed it and may read more by the author but not in a rush.
DeleteLoving the Norcross series. Much better than team 52, although I enjoyed that series too. For me, the supernatural elements didnt quite work.

Jessa Kane is a fun author to read. I enjoy her books but don't read everything and I need to be in the right mood to read her books.
DeleteI've enjoyed the Team 52 series. I like how badass the team is and also Lachlan's golden eyes. I'm obsessed with his golden eyes. The light supernatural aspects work for me too since I like a little bit of supernatural and I'm not reading much pure paranormal these days.
Yes, my Paranormal reading is geared towards the scifi element of it at the moment. It was always vampires but I've moved away from them in recent years. I still read some, like Lara Adrian, who has refreshed her series well, I think, and christine feehan, although I'm going off her a bit

Same with me. I'm reading more sci-fi than pure paranormal though I did just read a vampire story from the Duty Bound With Bite anthology by Lily Harlem but I'll pretty much read anything by Lily Harlem.
DeleteHi Deanna

LOL. You are correct, the cover for Thick Cop Daddy is not what I'd call enticing but I did enjoy the story.
