This is rather unheard of... if recent posts are any indication, but I'm doing my February reads early. Why? Because I'm a crispy fried little critter and my brain is toast. I've taken today "off" which means I'm not working on deadlines and am, instead, catching up on small errands, admin, emailing my team, and maybe, just maybe, I'll even get round to invoicing my clients. That's important right? But first, books... and you'll see from my dismal reading efforts, this was not a good reading month.
Here's what I read in the last month.

See what I mean about February being a dismal reading month? I can honestly say that this is THE WORST I have ever "performed" in the reading for fun front. Two books and one audiobook. Much sadness.
Banic by Mina Carter was a surprisingly enjoyable book. I used to read a lot of her earlier books and fell off for some reason. I don't remember where I saw this book, but it caught my attention and decided to read it. I've actually read the other books in the series, but that's for March's reading list.
Other than that, I decided to pull out one of Eric G Dove's older narrations and y'all, this book made me blush. Wicked Lover / Venice Vampyr by Tina Folsom was written in 2010 and let me tell you, these young, new TikTok readers going on about smut? They ain't got nothing on the early 2010s erotic romances. The characters were both ridiculous, but it was very, very smexy. I wonder if Eric G Dove blushed while he was narrating it cos he did a bang up job on the narration. If nothing else, grab the audiobook just to listen to Eric G Dove narrate and sounding smexy as all get out.
I know March is going to be a better month. I'm taking steps to make sure my brain is less crispy, and I've also been working on some audiobooks that I'm close to finishing. Next month will be better, I promise.
xoxo, D.
