Here's what Helen read for the last month.
Helen always has a fabulous reading month. Let's see what stood out for her.
Standouts would be Starting From Scratch by Penelope Janu which released 6th January. I finished that at night at 10.00pm on 31st December so it just made 2020 and a must read written in first person. It's an emotional and beautiful story.
The Cartographer's Secret by Tea Cooper was a mystery set in two time lines back in Australia’s past a page turner and so very well written.
Annie West always makes me smile with her fabulous stories and The King's Bride By Arrangement was so very good.
Fiona McArthur took me on a gorgeous journey to Barcelona fabulous characters a moving story and what fabulous setting in Second Chance In Barcelona.
A few Christmas stories that are always lovely to read in December with an anthology of Aussie Christmas stories called Christmas Among The Gum Trees that was lots of fun. Susan Meier’s Stolen Kiss With Her Billionaire Boss finished the Christmas at the Harrington Park Hotel series beautifully and I had a trip back to Granite Springs with A Granite Springs Christmas by Maggie Christensen was very heart-warming.
Darry Fraser's The Last Truehart is a great Aussie historical and Karly Lane taught me about the brumbies and made me sigh with a beautiful romance in Something Like This.
I thoroughly enjoyed all of them and look forward to a great reading year in 2021.
