What Helen Read #31: October 2018

Y'all, Helen is a gem. She's been away part of this month on a lovely holiday cruise but she still found time after getting home to send me her list of books read for the month of October. So glad we're not missing out on what Helen read.

And yes, I'm a little late getting this up. Story of my life right now, but I'm hoping it will improve soon. The project is kicking my butt.

Here's what Helen read for the last month.

Helen always has a fab reading month. Let's see what stood out for her ...

Even though I was on a cruise for two weeks I managed to read 15 books and yes, none of them were duds. They were all very good and the standouts were:

Getting Even by Avril Tremayne. This is a Harlequin Dare book and it is hot and steamy and such an intense, awesome read. Christy McKellen’s first Dare, Wild Child is also not to be missed.

Annie West has again rocked with her newest, Her Forgotten Lover's Heir. I loved it. It's one I highly recommend.

The Millionaire Mountain Climber is Laura Boon’s debut and a story that had me turning the pages. It has a fabulous setting and great characters.

A Model Wife by Maggie Christensen and Table For Eight by Tricia Stringer both not to be missed.

Have Fun, Helen.

Well, here's what Helen read. What do you think? Did you read any of the same books? What did you read this month? Tell us below.

  2. Deanna, you're right! Helen is indeed a gem!

Helen, love your list. I adored the Annie West. Thought it was fabulous.

I've got absolutely hooked on Naomi Novik who writes really beautiful and evocative books based on fairytales. Picked up her Spinning Silver on a recommendation and adored it. Read Uprooted not long after. It's ages since I've read much fantasy but her stuff is extraordinary. And a nice romance plot or two in both of them too.
