What Helen Read #16: July 2017

As Helen says, another great month with lots of wonderful books to keep her smiling. I love that Helen is such a positive reader. And yeah, she did have some great books in July. Look at all the pretties.

Helen's had a big month of new to her authors in July with Janie Crouch, Nicole Locke, Jennie Jones, Nina Singh, Alison Roberts and debut author Esther Campion.

Leaving Ocean Road by Esther Campion had Helen turning the pages with a moving and compelling story that will stay with her for a long time.

Another stand out is Wives of War by Soraya M Lane. You will need tissues for this book where three nurses meet during World War II and end up at Dunkirk. There's a lovely happy ending at the end of it but it's an emotional journey.

Of course, Helen also had some favorite authors in the mix with Anna Campbell, Annie West, Amy Ruttan, Susan Carlisle, Louisa Heaton, Helen Lacey and Melanie Milburne. In Helen's own words, "their heroes and heroines are the best".

Well, here's what Helen read. What do you think? Did you read any of the same books? What did you read this month? Tell us below.
